Final Reflection Posting:

Overall, I think it's good that we all took IMED class in January Term because
I learned a lot this term and actually enjoyed the projects we did. It was pretty
interesting seeing and learning more things about Photoshop. Working on
Photoshop made me realize that there's nothing that Photoshop cannot do.It
can literally do ANYTHING! That is sooo cool :D
Now that I am a little more familiar with the program since I also took it
in August Term to Fall, now to Winter term, and then going to take it again in
Spring. I feel a little accomplished for learning so much in little time! :)

Winter Term Reflection:

1) What is good about it?
Well, the good thing about it is that we don't have much pressure on us.
We come to school at 9am and leave by 3, which is pretty good because
we at least have an hour break in-between to go out and feel relieved :)
It's pretty chill and we don't stress over like "omg, we have this test tomorrow, or omg I'm failing"
or any such thing like that. I honestly love winter term and don't want it to end.
Definitely not looking forward to Spring Term.

2) The is NOT good about it?
The bad thing about winter term would be that it seems pointless!
I mean, I would rather take off the whole month for winter break like the
college students then to come to school for 2 weeks ahead and take these classes.
We're going to take IMED either way during Spring, so why not just wait till then instead
of taking it in Januray Term. Also, the classes are wayyyy to long and the break doesn't
seem enough.

3) What would I change?
First thing first, I would not want this Winter Term, and give a whole month off to
RCHS students for their Winter Break. YAYYYY! :)
But, if Winter Term is really necessary, then I would like want the classes to be at least
shorten up, and have like fun activities going on in January. Winter term seems so
quiet and not all juniors and seniors know each other. Therefore, I would want to
use this term and take advantage of that moment by like introducing one another so in
Spring we all know each other and be a happy RCHS fam bam. Woohooo! :D

Examples of Bad & Good Book Covers:

The 10 Worst Book Covers In The History Of Literature BAD!
This book cover has a lot of stuff going on at once that you can't really tell what to focus on. On top of that, the font style and color coordination is way off. It confuses the reader and makes them not so interested in reading this book; for example, me.

WitchlightBAD!
I don't really like this cover either because it has a lot of colors and the colors are not really coordinated. For example, the title. The first letter in the title above is blending in the with the background image and does not look so professional. Also, pictures on the cover could definitely use some help.

GOOD!
This book cover would be an example of a good cover because it is very simple and delicate. The title is "Short Girls" and it has a girls leg in tip toe way representing that the shirt is short. I actually like it and this makes it look professional and that the work is fully done and published. Also, it motivates the reader to read the book because of that simplicity; creates a mystery.

I Was a DancerGOOD!
Same thing goes for this book cover above. It is simple and delicate looking that perfectly goes with the title. The colors are used well and represented in a good manner. Shows the reader what they are about to read about to interest them more facts about the dancing career of someone.

Brainstorming for Yearbook

Today is my first day in my IMED class for January term and we went over the syllabus and the expectations from the professor. Now, we are discussing/brainstorming ideas on our own for the yearbook. Since I am a Senior and so are my classmates of course, I want this yearbook to be memorable in every way possible; therefore, I would like for it to be creative in which it can bring back all my high school memories in just one book. So, my idea for this yearbook cover color combination should definitely do something with our whole 'Thunderduck' symbol and the color combination. As far as I know, our colors are purple and green which I am not a complete fan of, but since it is the spirited color theme for our school and class of RCHS I am willing to take a chance and make it memorable for each and everyone of us. Therefore, I am thinking about making the front hard cover for the yearbook to be purple with a long lightning thing going down from the left hand side corner in green so it covers up the whole purple and green spirit color. Along with that, after the whole title and everything is written, we should have our RCHS mentors, leaders, event organizers and etc. names on the cover page since they have some part in activities and helping RCHS with events and being a good leader I suppose. Added to that, I would like for there to be a inpirational quote that basically anyone can relate to make them feel motivated or inspired to try more/new things no matter what the obstacle maybe. Overall, this should be the best yearbook ever! CLASS OF 2013 SHALL BE MEMORABLE! :)
